I have so much work to get done today, and of course I'm procrastinating! The honest to god truth is that I have some AMAZING new vintage to photograph (including a ton of SHOES!) and I'd like to get started before I lose this nice light in my bedroom. I wanted to post a few photos from the STRFKR show, though... so here they are!

STRFKR

Tonight my band is playing a show with this crazy band from Portland, Oregon called Starfucker at the Space Gallery in Portland, Maine. I'm pretty psyched. I'm also incredibly excited to find out that one of my favorite photographers, David Zwickerhill, is shooting it! I'll be sure to post photos of the show in the next week. Dave and I just finished a photoshoot last week where I wore a huge white lace dress, and sat on a horse. It was incredible. And cold. And I played with goats. Kind of the best thing ever. I'll definitely post those photos too once Dave has finished editing them.

It feels like Friday except it's only Wednesday!

blog updates/let's trade!

I've spent 34958580 hours in the past two days (I know, the math on that is NOT CORRECT!) trying to make my blog look better, but I am not too bright with the blog templates/html code, etc. How do you think it looks? The reason I mention this is because I have figured out how to put little advertisements up, and I would like to do an advertisement trade with some other fashion blogs/shops. Want to trade? Time to Expand

I started Grandma June with the intention of one day creating my own clothing line. I knew I wanted to start out selling vintage, but was very specific to not include the word "vintage" in my name (as so many Etsians do) because my long-term vision was to sell my own designs. It's been a little over a year and a half since I've started my Etsy shop, and I feel like I'm ready to expand. I've started taking sewing lessons from my neighbor, Molly Angie of Boom Chick-A-Boom, and yesterday I bought this sweet little sewing table from JoAnn's Fabric store. I'll keep you posted on my progress. I'm REALLY EXCITED!

I spent over 2 hours assembling this thing! So many little screws. Underneath it? Bags of fabric I've accumulated over the years, and some shipping boxes. I can't wait to get started!
