My extended hiatus.
I have been gone way too long, it's true. I could bore you with excuses like moving into a smaller apartment, losing the cable that goes from my camera to my computer, having four jobs and not enough time, feeling burnt out, getting used to my new apartment and where to have a photo shoot... I mean, the list goes on and on. But who cares! I promised myself that after Christmas I would re-focus my life, and start doing what I love again. This means more vintage, more free time, and more ice cream (!!!).
Thanks for sticking with me.

Oscars 2010!
Not sure if anyone paid attention, but I live-tweeted throughout the Oscars (probably lost some followers because I was so chatty, and at times, rude!) and talked about the highs and the lows of the night. Here, in my personal opinion, are the BEST and WORST dressed of the evening.
TOP 5 BEST DRESSED!

Alright, I hate to do it (well, no, of course I don't), buuuuut:

Great Changes!
So, here's some life changes... I kicked my boyfriend out of my apartment, and turned his old room into my OFFICIAL GRANDMA JUNE SHOP! Very exciting! I am so happy to finally have some real organization.
Here's a sneak peek, taken with my iPhone:

Thanks to Susan from Northstar Vintage for two of the three clothing racks in my new room! You're the best.
xoxo, mandy

Valentine's Day in Portland, Maine
I live in a really special little city. Not too many people know about Portland, Maine. Or, well, they might know of it, but don't know anything about it. When people hear Portland, they usually think of Oregon, but my little city had the name Portland FIRST, and the community here is like none other. We have amazing restaurants, the most beautiful views, the loveliest people, and the greatest local music.
Valentine's Day in Portland Maine is magical. Every year, for years now, the "Valentine's Day Phantom" covers the entirety of the downtown area in hearts. He/she/they plasters the city with red paper hearts in the middle of the night, and when us Portlanders wake up in the morning, there they are. Everywhere. The city is filled with romance. The perfect Valentine's Day gift. It is one of the many things I love about this city. This year, the city is my Valentine. (Who needs men?! Hahaha!)

Aztec Cardigans
Lately I can't get enough of those 70s cardigans with Aztec prints. Here are some of my current favorites on Etsy.

(Probably my favorite. So gorgeous, so inexpensive! Why haven't I bought this yet? Seriously ladies, if you don't snatch this up soon, I will.)

(her pictures are blurry, but you can still tell that this piece is awesome!)

(the back of the first one is a solid orange, which I think is great! And the colors of the second one?! Amazing.)

And here's my Aztec-inspired cardigan vest, for sale in my Etsy shop. It's the most beautiful color, the most beautiful quality- Pendleton!

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!
